Thermostat

my celica gen6 2.0lt GT import has started running a bit cool, its ok round town but temp really drops on the motorway.

im assuming its the thermostat, so ive ordered one from dealers.

which side of the block is the thermostat?

theres 2 possible places one on left and one on right

as you stand and look at the engine from the front, is it on the right?

that side looks more probable.

im really gonna have to buy a manual :)

but wheres the fun in that :D

its on the left under the alternator.

chances are the pin in the centre of the thermostat has dropped due to a circlip falling off. leaving the stat wide open all the time .
