Tech Question About 1st Gen Celica

Aright this problem started when my cat burnt out and my distruibiter died. I have a 1976 RA29 toyota celica and the problem is that in the morning when it is cold the low idle enguages. Then when the engine warms up the high idle engauges Also the engines been running rather rich without any adjustment to the carb. now a friend told me this might be due to a problem with the air injection system but since im no all that smart when it comes to toyotas i'd rather ask for a second opinion rather then screw something up.
