I got one in my car, insurance company couldn't care less about it either! vmail, didn't yours used to cut out if the handbrake was released without the key being in the ignition?

My mate has one, they aren't just for auto's. His is a clifford concept 600 (i think) with intellistart. I don't think they are illegal as his is all declared to the insurance.

You can have them set to start the car if the Battery starts getting low to charge it or when temperatures drop very low. Just don't leave the car in gear!!

the system is not illegal.it works both in auto and manual.the alarm i have will switch off the engine and sound the alarm if anyone tries opening the doors, boot, bonnet and also if anyone touches the brake, handbrake or even the clutch withouth the key bieng in ignition.it will also cut out the engine if there is lots of movement or vibration. pretty smart system.

A great device for freezing cold winter mornings..

It's all been said but.

There not illegal..

Must be declared (some Ins companies don't like them, some don't care)..

Don't leave in gear (You could end up whincing as it jumps into the car/garage/cat)..
