Problems With My G6

Morning all,

Brand new to the forum today!

I own a G6 3d, 1.3 4E FE (i think) and i kep having intermittent electrical problems such as lighting behind the dials cutting out and front head light is tempramental.

Do think they do a Haynes for this model so does anyone know how to take the paneling around the air con and intake controls off?

Also my cigarette lighter is now not working but the fuse is fine? Any ideas?

hi,

haynes don't yet make a manual for post 97 corollas. :(

i know the knobs pull off the center fascia revealing some screws (i think), might be some behind the ashtray, and also there could be screws behind center air-vents which just pull out. once all screws have been removed it will probably still be held in place with clips and should hopefully pull out.

If you want to know how to remove the centre console take a llok here - it might help. Sounds like you have some loose connections somewhere - try testing for continuity in the cables that connect to the items that are causing you problems.
