i'm just taken the part under the steering wheel off to get to the wiring but i'm already confused. has anyone fitted one?

i've got the greddy full auto timer. i've got it in now all according to the instructions..... but it won't work. it turns on and just displays '8c'. anyone know why this is or could you point me in the right direction for finding out whats wrong?

i've emailed greddy them selves but they haven't replied.
