Dam Oil Filter

I own a G6 and have recently changed the oil but now have the impossible task of getting the oil filter off.

It has the cam belt to the left , alternator underneath and the heat shield to the right, there is no room at all to get the dam thing off.

Any one who has done this please give me a tip of its back to toyota for this one.

try getting an oil filter wrench (availible from most good motor factors) should give you the nessesary leverage in a tight space

I got the tool but when i mean no space i mean 1 maybe 2 inches tops just enough room for the handle to fit and no space at all i can fit my hand round it but thats about it i was considering driving a screwdriver through the whole thing and using it as a wrench to try and make use of the space i have , i took the heat sheld off and i have a bit more space but i am still struggling i think toyota did this on purpose to make me take it in for a simple job.
