Time To Sell A Kidney?

Bought a Celica 1.8SR 1999 (T reg) a couple of months ago with 80k on the clock, it's real nice, not particulary fast but nice looking and fun.

It now needs an 81k service (it's the cam belt change - how much are those kindeys worth).

I'm in Hertfordshire, can anyone recommend a good independent toyota specialist, or a reasonable dealership locally that's not going to fleece me!

Depends where in Herts you are but I use HILLS of BISHOPS STORTFORD. They are a great bunch. Know their stuff, friendly and courteous and I have got 2 Celicas from them in the last 8 years.

If you join our GOLD scheme on TOC you can get discounts of upto 15% on things like Servicing and parts from participating outlets. Hills are one such outlet and I have just made 2 nice savings in a week there through my GOLD card.

I would recommend Blue Streak Autos. The owners name is Richard. He is Ex Toyota, really knows his stuff and is about 1/3 to 1/5 cheeper than Toyota depending on the job. OK he is a bit of a trek for you, but what you would save would be worth it. There are cinemas and shops nearby to keep you occupied whilst he works on the car. 01604 759966 :thumbsup:

took my car to Blue Streak Autos (01604 759966) yesterday, saved over £200 on the local garage I normally use. At least £150 cheaper than any other quote!! Absolutely right he does know his stuff. Although it's an hour from where I am, there are a couple of other jobs on the car that need looking at - I don't think I'll bother taking it anywhere else.

If you are ever around this way, I owe you a beer!! :beer:
