I want to fit an aux in to the standard CD/satnav unit so i can use an MP3 player. I've read the other posts about removal of the facia to get at the CD unit.

But there's some disagreement and it still feels like I'm doing something wrong. Please can someone help me with an idiots guide to what to lever off and how?

I've put pictures at

pictures of facia

- Am I doing right or sticking my screwdriver in the wrong place and about to break something?

thanks in advance.

cheers

Thanks, I've just done that , you're right about the facia coming out with fingers.

But I didn't expect everything to come out with it - it looks like heater controls, sat nav, Cd and vents are all attached to the front "wooden" facia panel .

(I was expecting them to be in a framework and for the panel to just be decorative. )

Anyway after about an inch of movement something was stopping me pulling it any further. So I've wimped out on that one ....I've got enough info there to persuade me I should pay someone who knows what they're doing!

Its up to you but if you keep tugging two white clips will pop out and then the whole lot can be removed when you unclip all the plugs. dead easy.
