I'll admit, yes im 22 and have an import GT-Four (ST205, the 1995 model ;-) )

Ok i've been driving since 17, and easily done over 150,000 miles in various cars (my last being a corolla), however i have driven many high performance cars (rear wheel drive and 4 wheel drive, for example....

Lotus, TVR's, old school 911 turbo's, Imprezza WRX/STi, Evo's Cosworths etc, etc.

BUT.....

using a fast car everyday, day in, day out. you stop thinking this is fast and regularly find yourself speeding (in safe places only mind ie deserted motorways, lanes which have excellent visability and no junctions/paths/houses etc.

You must be aware that sports cars take much more concantration to drive than run of the mill "ordinary cars" as you can easily out brake and accelerate practically everything on the road you must be aware of all 360 degrees around you, all the other nearby drivers, ESPECIALLY boy racers, BMW, Porches, sporty mercs etc, etc (because they think they're the best cars on the road and often, in my experiance, try to overtake you at the most inoppertune moments, and you must be aware of this and often find youself stamping on the brakes in order to avoid accidents, even though they would not be your fault)

I admit i am not the best driver and have mode mistakes (Never caused, or been involved in an accident though! :-)

And i would be the first to say that there is no way i would have got a GT4, or any other Sports car any earlier than i did..

Plus, Insurance will always be a BAR STEWARD ! ;-)

Might be worth trying a broker called Lifesure (sorry don't have details at hand).

They are very friendly and helpful and did me some amazing deals. They don't add there bit as I tried getting a quote from the insurance company they went through direct and it came out more!

I can get the contact details if anyone is interested.
