Headlamp Unit

I need to replace a front indicator bulb in my 2000 Avensis (recently purchased). Do I need to remove the headlamp unit to do this ? If so how do I carry this out ?

I can't see any other way of changing tis bulb.

id take it to a garage mate, they aint easy to get back in once you get it out, took me best part of an hour just to replace the headlamp bulb and i still ended up having to go see my local garage to put it in rite, and being a taxi driver iv chaged a few!! guy at garage had probs with it too.

No, you do not need to remove your headlight. There is a small plastic catch you need to push in using a long screwdriver, it is detailed in the user manual... The indicator unit will pop out with a little persuasion whist pushing the catch.

Don't know what you were doing, I replaced my entire headlight in 45 mins, without a manual. Yes, you had to take the grille off, but that was only 3 screws!

If you bought german I bet they would charge more than £65 inc VAT for a new headlight!!!
