Toyota Celica 2.0 Gt4 Jap Import- Need Some Help!

Hi,

Im a lady owner of a Black, J reg, Toyota Celica 2.0 GT4 Jap Import.

The trouble i am having is that I dont know what the size of my wheels are since i am after some cheap alloys and tyres.

All I know is that the back two sizes are slightly differnt to the front two and they have 5 studs on them

I was hoping someone with the same car (a jap import of the same year) could tell me what wheel size and tyres will fit on my car.

I would appreciate any feedback!

Welcome to TOC.

All four wheels and tyres should be the same size. Factory wheels were 15x7 three spokes usually fitted with 215/50x15 tyres. If you`ve got different sized tyres on you should get them changed asap or risk damaging the transfer box.

If you want bigger wheels, generally speaking the sizes should be as follows.

16 x7 rims fitted with 215/45x16 tyres or

17x7 rims fitted with 215/40x17 tyres.

This will stop the speedo reading incorrectly.

There are variations to the above but you`ll possibly get issues with excessive wear to the cv joints and wheel bearings.

One more question- when i registered t the gt4 forum you provided, it asked me what model of gt4 i have- i have no idea which one i own!

Yours is the ST185 1989-1994 Also known as the Generation 5. :D
