I know, that in Japan modification Toyota Vitz 4WD (a constant full drive on all wheels) is sold. It is very convenient, especially on mountain roads. But probably, this updating Toyota Vitz 4WD (Toyota Yaris 4WD) sold and in other countries of the world (besides Japan). Who knows, where????

Yaris came in 4 wheel drive was issued in Japan 5 years (since 1999). Such car it is a lot of in Russia (not new, exported of Japan) This updating very popular because in a snow the machine better copes. Approximately 50 % of all Toyota Vitz in Russia is a 4WD!

But in Europe too are popular 4WD cars (for example in Switzerland). Therefore Toyota Vitz 4WD probably it is sold in other countries of the world and Europe.

Why Toyota Yaris 4WD is not sold in England? Probably the English market is not perspective for Toyota to sell all updatings Toyota Yaris. How it is much Toyota Yaris sold in a year in England? In fact for the beginning sales of new updating probably it is necessary to enclose many money for certification in the market?

Still the question, and in England is sold Toyota Yaris with transmission a variator? Not with standart automatic transmission, and with a variator? In Japan are sold Toyota Yaris with a variator transmission.

Variator transmission more conveniently of standart automatic transmission. There the constant maximal twisting moment (as it to tell). The maximal speed is faster reached and there are no switchings.

Unless results on safety 4wd and 2wd can will be distinguished??? crash testing is same! In fact the drive on wheels differs only. The motor has remained the same!!!

No sale or import in England. But Can be import in other countries of Europe?

the 4wd chassis is totally different to the FWD chassis! therefore would react different in a crash situation. this was not a tested chassis in the tests

I think you are refering to what we know as MMT = Multi Mode Transmision.

This uses a standard manual gearbox with sequential automatic selection.

It gives the driver the choice of Automatic or sequential manual gearchanging.

I understand in U.K. it is only available with the 1.0 litre engine

Why Toyota Yaris 4WD  is not sold in England?

we only get 2 days of snow a year (about an inch) then its gone overnight, no need for a 4 wheel drive yaris when going shopping!

There are some imported 4WD Yari here in Barbados. But we don't really have any safety reg or sucj to speak of. Once you got the cash you can drive pretty much anything down here.
