Avensis T3-s Gearbox

Hi There

We bought our Avensis T3 s D4D a few months ago with 19k on the clock. It has now started slipping out of 5th gear :ffs: . It's booked in to have it fixed on Wednesday but I was wondering if this is a common problem with the Avensis. Our last car was the 2000 Avenesis CDX D4d, which gave absolutely no bother in any department.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Doesn't happen with mine, but it's an automatic! Hope they fix it under warranty, keep us informed. I haven't heard of any problems with D4D gearboxes, and indeed, no less than Jeremy Clarkson, Head Bully of the BBC's Top Gear program thinks Toyota's engines and gearboxes are top notch.....

Have you noticed any problems with the clutch, by the way?
