Electrical Or Mechanical Gauges

Hello all, im going to buy 4 gauges - Oil temp, Oil pressure, Battery volts and boost, is there any other ones i should get by the way? Anyway, ive found the ones i want, black faced. crome bezel, BUT im really confused on mechanical or electrical. Which ones should i get and why? Ive never fitted gauges before to a car so this to some may seem a really stupid question so please dont laugh. :( Just one more thing, are they difficult to fit? Cheers
