i've still got the s**t 110 speedo face and i know it's ment to be limited to 112mph. i had me foot down and i was well over that with the needle stuck on the dash, then my car 'golted', was this the limiter? i took my foot off after that but it still running fine.

golted ??? when the limiter comes in you lose all fuel and the car just fails to respond. you can get rid of the limiter for £ 43

You often see beemers and the like racing off from the lights and at high revs the car splutters as it bounces off the limiter.

that would be the rev limiter ( fuel cut off ) , not a speed limiter as such .jap cars are limited to 112 mph as mentioned above. :)

Mine does the same thing. It's the fuel being cut by the speed limiter. As Maleborn said, it's quite cheap to remove.

Iv'e hit BOTH the rev limiter in 2nd gear & the speed cut......I was pegged on the 180 kph mark for about 8 secs the BAM, throws ya foward, like the car is shut off for a split 2nd. Not nice. Iv'e only ever done both of the above ONCE as I hate ringing my car out unesscerly!!

Cheers

I've hit the speed limiter (and removed it) and hit the rev limiter in every gear (probably).

The Rev limiter is easy when you tunes are on loud :D
