I would like to buy a small body kit for my 1997 Paseo. I don't realy want anything too big, but a front, rear and side spoiler kit would be good. Does anyone know of a UK supplier of the Booster Tuning kit or anything like this one?

hi ya mate,

If you want a full kit check out x-racing as thats where i got mine from(see images below) or garage. These pics are in the process of it being fitted so ignore the fact its not sprayed etc.

The booster tuning kit i know that someone has mentioned before but i think that you night just have to order directly with the company.

Someone please correct me if im wrong,

Cheers,

Matt

oh yeah and ignore the black tape thats holding the rear bumper in as that is due to the bloke crashing into me! and the masking tape is there holding the sideskirts in as the sealand drys and holding the back bits on temp!

I know it looks a mess but wait i promise it will get better!!!!

Your Seo's looking great Matt. Thanks for the info. I've just got details of a kit from Onderground-design.com. Has anyone had any feedback about these. I got the details from a website called Paseopimp.com.

Be careful on Pimp - they like to attack each other all day long.

Onderground is 'sposed to be expensive to import but it's a nice kit - except maybe the front bumper!

Booster stuff should be available from a variety of UK suppliers. Try Envy and Funky Porduct first.

cheers everyone,

Rookey, the rear lights can be modified like i did with the strip tape it takes its time to do it but looks good. I'll be doning it again once the car gets fixed. Alternatively, do something different do a light swap, i would love S2000 lights on the back of mine!!!

Also, My girlfriend lives in Reading and will be going up that way soon-ish. when i go up i was thinking about getting a few TOC chaps together to laugh at chavs. Your more than welcome to have a good look round etc when i go up that way.

Oh and Pimp is a place for large amounts of bitching about people. I know that Oli_paseo is a member and he gets nothing but hassle off that site. Not sure the reason but still.

There seems to be a standard boykit though, that I have seen on a number of paseos on autotrader and even one of the ones in the garage. That would be my preference if I just knew where to get it. :help:

Well let us know a bit in advance and Ed may come down from london as well! :)

Im sure Leeky and Bibbs would be up for a bit of drinkage/chavtaking... :)

Sounds good to me Rookey, i will let you know when im on my way up! Nothing like a bit of dinkage and chavtaking...........lol.

Paseoni i think that the kit your after is the booster tuning kit and i think Si mentioned that the kit is avaliable through funky products.

The pics below are of the booster tuning kit.

Sorry, I know we keep going slightly off topic!

But Matt, What do you mean by strip taping the rear lights?

I kind of like the idea of S2000 rear lights, but I was also maybe thinking that if I did get a seo in a few months..I may have enough to do a gen 6 celica rear light conversion. Should look purty nice.

I have seen a few really nice body kits that I havent seen mentioned on here before, but Im struggling to find the links for them at the moment. As soon as I find them, I'll post them up!

Cheers

Yeah as Rookey said soz about going off the topic but this is quite useful for info for seo owners.

The strip tape stuff is the thin line tape sometimes called pin stripe lines\coach lines etc. And what i did was follow every other line on the rear lights horizontaly to give a funky effect that makes it look like the lights have been sprayed. pics below. Its time consuming and not for people with no patience but looks class.

Looks aweseme :) I must try it...I recommend putting up another post for Seo owners with pics and guidelines on exactly how to do it, but then again, I suppose it can be done on any car?

Posted

Having seen them in the flesh, it does make the Paseo rear lights look good. I'm not sure the effect would work as well on every car, but its quite a cheap but effective mod - you just need time......

Posted

Cheers Andrew, I appreciate the response to the rear light mod. I really like the mod personally!!!

I think i have put a post somewhere on TOC but will post a link soon to let everyone know that this sorta thing is effective and makes a difference to a hard to mod car......This mod would look smart on most Toyotas too im sure!!!

Hi matt, No luck with the body kit, I can't find any details anywhere. Also, could anyone offer further advice on fitting 6x9s into the rear of the car?? I have some amazing JBL's which I am missing dreadfully!! :)

Cheers guys.

I had the booster kit front and rear

approximate prices are

£150 for the front

£150 for the rear

£200 for the side skirts(i made custrom skirts)

needs a 30% deposit and 3-6 months waiting time, depending on orders

If you are still interested reply and ill find the UK dealers no

This is where I got mine from:

http://www.upauto.co.uk/

Give them a call, dont think they list it on the website still.

Ha-ha,

Paseoni, you dont know how many people have problems trying to fit 6x9s in the Paseo, i only know of a few cars that have done it. I have some lovely alpine S type Speakers in mine and it was a relative mission to get them in!

I am posting a few posts in the workshop of how to do a few mods to the seo as i know the same sorta questions pop up!

Check in there soon and i will post a link on how to do it!

Thanks Matt, thats great. They sound so good, they are currently wasted in my mothers starlet, bless her.

But I will have them back! Muhohahahahaha... etc.

PaseoGT4, thanks thats great I'll look into it. I have a mate who got sideskirts for his civc for 99p on eBay, I mean, where is the justice!!!!???

Cheers guys.

was thinkin of fittin my 6x9s in the rear panels next to rear passenger seats?

Posted

I had considered that but i have a pair of sony 6.5' Speakers at home that im going to put in that space to act as some mids between the front Speakers and the 6x9's.

When i get them in and sorted ill post some pics for people.

I had a word with steve about breaking the workshop section up into car areas and when its done ill post a load of DIY guides to Paseo's.

Hope all is well!!
