So does anyone run TOYO R888's on the road?

Seriously considering it,.. am I mad or is it the way forward for the enlightened?

Considering there border line slicks they do grip reasonable well in the wet.

Although when they do lose grip, it is more often than not very violent.

If you can get hold off another set of wheels and put them on for "races" ;) then thats the best option

:D been having this discussion on IMOC also, seems no ones got first hand experience of the TOYO R888's but all the trackday people have said get Bridgestone SO3's as they are as good as some dedicated track tyres and fantastic in the wet too.

Interesting thing tho they all say TOYO T1S are pap...

Bridgestones are good but i've put on the 888's cause i wanted to know the difference for myself.

I do feel more comfortable round a wet track with SO3s on.

But at the pod i was getting better launch times with the triple 8's

I suppose it down to what you want out of your tyres really

how are the 888's lasting?

I got a quote of £218 for a pair of SO3's inc fitting, balancing, valves & vat. Should be able to get the 888's for the same, from all the reading I guess in the dry the 888's will be a bit better but the SO3's alot better in the wet, priced the same it'll have to come down to how long they last?
