It's 3.5l N/A, not turbo. And they are using 'GT4' to promote a computer game.

Surely Toyota will sue the pants off them??

Peugeot stopped anyone from being able to use the number "oh" number as they claimed it was their trademark

so nobody else could have 101 if it was said one oh one

I'm sure GT4 is associated with toyota so could not be used on another car where it may cause confusion to the customer. I had to go to a lecture about this sort of thing a couple of months back. The example they gave was that Polo is a mint and a car, but that's fine because they are not confusingly similar. But you couldn't make a new mint called polo, but you could make a new mobile phone called polo.

Anyway I'm sure they can't steal it!!!

Depends if toyota are bothered. Don't forget they haven't made a GT4 for what, 6-7 years? They might not be able to claim rights to the name anymore.

Also, Nissan can use the argument that gt4 stands for Gran Turismo version 4, so they have a legitimate reason for using it. They probably OK'ed it with toyota first anyhow.

If anything it just goes to show that toyota don't plan to use the gt4 name again. :crybaby:

There was a problem with ford and skoda recently. Ford claimed skoda had stolen their RS 'brand by using it on the Ocativa. Ford won, and skoda were forced to use vRS instead. They just use a very small 'v' on the Badge...

Dunno. Could of been one way back in the mists of time. Plenty of GT`s around since the year dot and the 4 needn`t apply to the transmission as in Toyotas case. Could well be 4 seater or 4 cylinder. All i do know that i like MY GT4 the best. And thats all that matters. :D
