lancer evo engine which is already FWD and has some zing to it.

they have a LOT of zing to them, and more potential than a 3sgte or especially 4efte, but they're not FWD, they're bolted on to an AWD car. I'm surprised you didn't know that!

go for the swap with an mr2 turbo Box And keep it Front wheel drive.

this conversion is getting too popular, still better to set trends than follow. lol :)

I'm gonna make you suck the brake fluid out for that comment :P :lol::lol:

I meant the engine before they went all wheel, **** buying a newish evo engine I'd rather just get a new car. Speaking of which.. the 94 celica I checked out was being sold for 12000AU.. and there's a 2jz that's just been rebuilt for 3000. What's the chances of it fitting without too much work?

as far as i know and have researched, ther hasn't ever been a Non-AWD evolution. they use the 4g63 engine, which is the same as the Eclipse and Galant, but it's been tweeked and turbo'd, so it produces a LOT more power.

 I dunno about that. At least on par but it's a bit of a big call saying better.

i think what he meant was that the engine in an evo is mounted transversly.

im sure mitsubishi make a fwd gearbox that will bolt up to the evo engine.

ive seen pictures of colts and protons running that engine fwd
