Front Passenger Side Wheel Getting Very Hot

:help: the front passenger side wheel and brake disk got extremly hot and i felt some juddering through the brake pedal and steering wheel. i have felt this a few times recently, but never noticed the wheel getting hot. any-one got any ideas what this could?

sticky caliper mate , it will lead to needing new discs as they will warp too, you need a caliper service kit from the dealers at £ 27 to do both sides, or a recon caliper at around £ 50 to £ 70

Not sure if it's the same for these but, if there is a flexi pipe to the caliper check that too - I got a recon caliper for my escort, and it turned out to just be the pipe which had degraded inside, pressing the foot pedal was strong enough to push through, but the caliper couldn't release afterwards. Goodridge hoses were cheaper and better than buying originals.

Also check your pads - as you don't want to stick new discs on if your pads are misshaped - easy to change them whilst it's apart than warp or score another pair of discs with funny pads.

Used to look cool on the Escort in the dark, there was quite big holes in the alloys and when you stopped it glowed orange :blink: - I quickly got scared of the wheel bolts shearing through the heat though!
