as the title says, when pulling away for the first time theres a loud noise from rear n/s wheel, i think it may be the calipers stickin but once the cars moved theres no scrapin or pullin? anyone else had this or know what it is? not just in my head either cos it scared some bloke walkin past my car as i pulled away.

i read that the rear pistons need to be twisted back, is this just for abs models? think im gonna replace pads while i have it to bits, might even paint calipers

got few more scratches on the rear as well, was windy few days ago and some slates came off roof, guess where they landed :ffs: still, just another excuse to get that respray in the summer

Could be the handbrake sticking on.

Try leaving it off over night and see if it does it when you first pull away.

Bad luck with scratches mate :(

but even the handbrake stickin should make the car "pull" when driving? i'll try it tomorrow night and see if this helps.

it makes the noise when i move forward, if i reverse it feels like its driving over a rock or summit, need to rev it to get it movin, what makes me think the calipers are sticking. its about time i check anyway, normally have my car in bits sfter first few weeks of ownership

I know what your saying about it pulling but it might just be with the rain etc that the pads are sticking to the discs.....

If you need callipers, Jims has a full set for sale

but he'll sell you the rears only if need be.

if they are stickin i should be able to free them and just grease them up, but i'll keep them in mind just incase i manage to break them, thanks
