i dont get how the coilovers go on the back when they are seperate from each other....

man i bet that gets complicated lol....

and i doubt coilovers would be around the 5-600 mark... thats how much a normal good susupension setup costs, id reckon coilovers are 1k minium and iv just remember but does nizan's (whoever owns it now (forgot name)) have TEIN coilovers?

Matt, Nizan's TEIN coilovers were around £600 but he got pillowball top mounts aswell which brought it up to around the £1k mark!

And Matt find me a quote where I claimed to have coilovers?

And to anyone, what have I got if I haven't got coilovers? I can adjust the ride height but not the damping rate? Wagon suspension?

Oh and another thing, coilovers aren't always in 1 piece 'cos for cars like the Yaris at the back they obviously need to be separate!

Well, thanks this topic has decided suspension for me.

Springs only! Making me save money. I dont need shocks for a T-Sport just springs! Wow! Thankyou all! :)

Won't handle anywhere near as good as it could for another £200-300 and will cost you more in the long run. Cos when you are fed up of being out-handled or not handling as well as you would like, you'll go and buy shocks and then you'd need to get them fitted where as you could have got both shocks and springs fitted 1st time round!

And who said the T-Sport had uprated shocks as standard? Nonsense.

Your all on a mission to confuse me!

I guess getting shocks and springs by the same company would be the best option cause they work better together?

Not necessarily, I've heard TTE/Eibachs work well with the Koni's. Don't think Koni do a spring and shock setup for the TS yet!

Can you tell I like Koni? :D

Cool, but I never knew shocks and all would be that expensive.

I was thinking, springs and whatever else I can get to improve the ride for around £300.

Springs are £120 or so, depending on whos setup I buy.

Then Koni shocks?

Surly that would be quids in. I dought I would feel that much difference.

Perhaps TTE Springs, a TRD Strut Brace and some Koni Shocks.

Sounds good to me, expect to pay around £600 fitted though!

will do!! if my digital camera works! i think its broke. i keep putting fully recharged batteries in it, and they only last 5 minutes. I put brand new dispoasbles in it, and they lasted like 2 minutes literally.

Anyone any idea what could be wrong?

Try a brand new set of duracells or some li-lithion ones. If it's still the same... its flucked.

If you're using rechargeables make sure that they are Nickel Metalhydrides (NiMh) rather than Nickel Cadnium (NiCd)...

Clarky

PS Jessops do four of their own NiMH for 9quid

If your bored/Interested..

Springs - coiled bits of metal!..

Shocks - the rest of the 'suspension' (as we'll call it!)

Coilovers - a much slimar shock body completed with springs.. Control height (30-70mm), just jack the car up and twist the spring plate. Adjustable damping (hard/soft), Some have rebound rate (speed at which shock returns to normal after a hit, fast is normally a harsher ride). Some have camber/toe, but we wont go into that (big money)..
