Intermediate service is @ 10k miles

Full service is @ 20k

Intermediate @ 30k.... and so on

Or yearly like Chappers said, whichever comes first.

While under warranty its 10k with every second one being a full service, but after warranty ended I've been trying to make it at least every say 8k ...

Why shorter intervals after the warranty ends? Surely it doesn't matter as much then?

Yep - reliability and it means that I can keep a better eye on the day to day stuff... I'm using a local independant garage for the moment, but to be honest I'm buying the parts myself and its minimal labour cost as I 'help' ..

if my 1st service was at 7k, will my next service be 17k or 20k (assuming I do that amount in the current year)

because by that stage the engine will be starting to wear and will require more servicing to keep it sweet!

i actually do my yaris every 5k

and the mr2 has to be every 2.5k!

I agree the more miles its done the shorter the service intervals should be

Well mine's coming up for its first service in march and its only done 3.5k

Probably are clarky, I've done a mere 47,500 miles and its coming up for 5 years old!

And I think I must have the highest mileage on here? - 77k

I'm impressed - lots of runs back and forth to "The Fair City"?

When I sold my first one it had done almost 50,000 in less than 3 years. My last one did 16,000 miles in the almost 8 months it survived for (live in Inverness, had girlfriend in Glasgow  for 7 months). Current one has only done 3,000 since the start of November and last year (2004) I calculate that I drove about 27,000 miles between vehicles... No, I'm not a sales rep and driving isn't part of my job.

I'm a consultant and cover all of the UK and Ireland ... and HATE public transport. Had my Yaris since it had 7k on it ...

Still going strong ... difference now is that I have a drive, a garage and a missus that is into cars too!
