Wont Idle From Cold

My 1992 3.0 camry v6 wont idle from cold without you giving it more fuel. I had it on a dyno and they reported low compresson on a coulpe of cylinders. I have since had the valves lapped in and it still wont run right. I am in the process of fitting a new water temperature sensor as i found that faulty aswell. I hope that might help the idle problem. The other problem is sometimes the car will cut out approaching junctions (sometimes when braking and sometimes when just slowing down) I thought this might be a vacuam problem but maybe it is to do with idle. Can anybody offer any more ideas on what to check?
