Unfortunately Insurance is way too personal each individual to believe in specific recommendations of companies.

All you can do is make those dreaded calls and hope they cut your £££ and give you a good price.

One company may be great for person A but NO good for person B.......

I'm with Liverpool & Victoria, extremely happy with them and find them very cheap...

Also they do not place any surcharges on the system for modifcations, excepot those that increase the capacity of the engine and are happy to take photo's of the car or reciepts of purchase so that if anything were to go wrong withthe car ie smashed you can claim for those parts...

Never had a problem with them...

Thanks for that guys, you have provided me with a couple more companies to try out. My points bumped my insurance up last year but hopefully I will be able to find a company that will charge me less than 415.00. Thanks again, much appreciated to you all :group-cuddles:

I'm 24 with 1 years NCB and am paying ~500 FC for my GT. That's from Elephant.co.uk. They've been very good for me, both service and price, but not so cheap for other members of my family. Worth giving them a try.

i agree elephant r good! they were one of the only companies that gave me a realistic quote ie less than 2k lol!

im with elephant and i guess i cudnt complain at the price (1500) considering i was 20 at the time with 0 years no claims lol on the GT

btw how friendly are elephant with mods?

As GordyPix says insurance is way to personal, It seems to change each year as well. if you'd asked me 3 years ago I would have recommended Liverpool Victoia as they gave me a quote which was amazing - It ended up being cheaper for fully comp with them, than I could get with anyone else for TPFT, but when my renewal came through with me having 1 years more ncb, and being a year older, they added £300 to the last years price!

From my recent enquiries - Norwich Union was best for my wife, but not for me (They told me they wouldn't insure any celicas that were going to be parked on the road unless they had a cat1 certificated alarm) The best for me was directline (by about £25) the next closest was Endsleigh

If you want to save time and find the cheapest quote go to www.moneysupermarket.com, searches all the big names you would expect but also searches the smaller companies.

guarantee best quote and least hassle :D

Norwich Union Direct for me (online discount as Maleborn said)

Approx £260 for my import GT-R 1991 TPFT 7000mls per year. I'm 30 with 5yrs NCB and £200 excess.

They were at least £80 cheaper than my previous insurers.

Hi everyone just joined today I have a 1986 Celica 2.0 Litre GT Liftback which has just managed to tot up 28,000 Miles. I have been quoted less than £200 for fully comprehensive by MORE THAN. You must take into account that I have full no claims bonus the quote also includes 1 named driver , excees of only £150 with no requirement for a Thatcham approved immobilliser & includes no claim protection.

Will post pics of acquired steed when small amount of refurbishment has been completed. :

Tesco.com for me (been with them for over 3 years now - coming up to 4).

When I got insured on my 2003 Celica TSport I was 20 with 3 years NCB and clean licence. Tesco were the cheapest I found out of about 90 companies I tried. Fully comp for £1060, which I classed as reasonable for my age/car performance. :)

I'm hoping I can get it down a fair bit when I renew in April 'cause I'll have 4 years NCB (touch wood) and be 21 on date of insuring.

Before I got my Celica I was looking at an RX7 Type-R (cheapest quote I got for 3rd party was £3600 and fully comp was £4700)

From my many phone calls it seems that as soon as you reach 25 you can pretty much get insured on anything for a reasonable price.
