It's not really a dark blue. But it's not a light blue either!!! I'll add a few pix when I get her on Monday and y'all can decide!!!

Not sure about T-sport?? How would I tell?

EXCELLANT my friend  WELL DONE TO YA

It won't be the T Sport - that was a later model. The Y regs were 140s or 190s.

So you will have the 190, characterised by the sexy 190 Badge on the back right hand side.

Look forward to seeing the pix

You should look at going GOLD on here now you know. For £25 a year you have access to hundreds of discounts across the UK using your TOC GOLD membership. For example - Most Toyota dealers offer up to 15% on servicing, parts and labour.......

I have saved over £50 in 2 months already and will make more saving this week when getting bits and bobs..........

OK...........Hmmmmm. So what does the speedo go up to?

If it shows 160mph then its a 190 if 140mph then a 140 model.....

Welcome Fella.... You'll be well chuffed with the motor....

In answer to the questions with it being a VVTL-i it should be a 190. I believe the 140's were just VVT-i's

Been looking at some of the mods people have been looking at... I want those ne front light covers and would like to upgrade my spoiner..... hmmmmm

Give it a good visual check all round to see if everything is where it should be. You never know what might have changed since you viewed it last - stone chips/scratches etc..........

If it is a Toyota dealer then they should have prepped it to showrom condition with a full valet and a RAC approved check over. Make sure everything is done as your contract states.

Things I would check for are :

Usual stuff.... tyres, oil, FSH Etc....

+

Problems with Gen 7 Celica's have been:

alloys bubbling.... this was a recall and should have been fixed under warrenty.

While checking the alloys there is a have a look arouned (and through them for corrosion. Some Celica's corrode on the dome where the Disk is (Can't rememebr the name of it)

Rear Boot struts... Some weren't strong enough to hold a boot + spoiler (as you have a 190 you should have a spoiler I think) These should be replaced if not strong enough... (I didn't do this and have had a sore head more than once as a consequence....

Another couple of Gen 7 quircks....

Don't put metal (i.e coins/cans) in the centre console cup holders when setting the alarm. You will find your alarm may go off every 10 mins or so....

When you first fill up you will notice the first 1/4 tank should last about 100 miles or so ... then will drop down at a quicker rate.... this is normal.

Don't let all this concern you... Its still an awesome car and you will have loads of fun...... Happy driving.....

Cheers guys!!!

(as you have a 190 you should have a spoiler I think)

Scary thing, Mine doesn't have a spoiler!!!!

Is that uncommon? Will My baby feel left out, ostrasized, singled out? Will she be prone to being picked on by all the other VVTL-i's? :o

Should I ask/demand the dealer add one?

The Spoiler was part of the SPORT pack. 190's with standard premium pack would not have had a spoiler.

To get one is an extra so expect to Shell out over £150 for it from Toyota I would imagine.

In regards to the boots struts. They should be fine with no spoiler. If a SPORT pack was added with spoiler then the Struts will have SP stamped on them to indicate they are uprated to handle the weight of the spoiler.

You learn something new every day!

I would certainly go for a new spoiler.. makes the car look much better. However you can get some very nice aftermarket spoilers I have seen a couple examples on here. I would for one of those if I was you.... (In Fact I may do that anyway!)
