Yeah but my kit cost over £600 in parts, £650 for the full respray (with the metal flake effect) and I would probably charge £300 to do it again because of the work involved with fitting the custom side skirts. Add on another £300 for the TSW rims and that brings it to £1850 just for the mods I did. So fair enough you paid £2750 but thats standard, modding a car aint cheap. The celicas already cost me £2500 in parts and paint, need to find somewhere to host my pics...

yeah but remember, mods dont add any value to a car, however in your mind it would because its your car and your money....which sucks....i mean ive already spent £400 on the car, and fairdo's, i aint selling it, itll be my permanent project, but it wouldnt be worth an extra £400

i like the guys detail, i corrected him on how it isnt a " toyota sport front bumper " and other stuff :P

i bought my seo for 2000 with 45000 miles. then payed nearly 700 for oz rims, 200 for cat back s/s exhaust, 400 for springs and shocks and bought 300 so far for audio. but its more about a long term project which i like. some people just don't understand that its not about money. its my pride and joy lol

Mods do add value to your car, if you do them right and do them tastefully, my car with 100,000 miles wouldnt have sold for £2400 if it looked like I bought it, as a general rule if your mods look good and are tasteful, you will get back half of what you paid for in parts, and not much for what u spend in labour, I reckon my car standard would have been worth £1500 tops. Generally mods like lowering and exhausts and induction kits will put many people off because they will think that the car has been raced / driven hard. Loads of celica /mr2 owners I know have had trouble selling their car modified so have put it back to standard and sold it for the same money.

Good point. I'm selling mine at the moment but lets not forget that most of the cars on the Trader may have low milages but they clearly haven't been looked after.

Apart from the TOC cars, all of the Paseo's I've seen on the road or for sale at garages etc over the past three years have been dogs... hopefully having a good one counts for something. <_<

Yep it has to go! :crybaby: I didn't plan on selling but I need a Veedub now so I'm after a Corrado VR6. Hopefully the performance will make up for having to sell the 'Seo!

He really wants his reserve!!!

he wants 3500 for it, think he has got a mate to put a top bid in so that it keeps going up every time some 1 bids. Im tempted to go buy another paseo and do it all again, if it really is worth £3000

Posted

you dont need to pay 3,000 tho! I've seen some Paseo's for arond 1,500. And although they might not be in brilliant condition if your doing it up it makes for a perfect project!!!!

Or alternativly, si's is up for grabs and thats a beautiful car up for a good price!!!

thats wat i mean buy a seo for 1500, spend 500-600 on a kit another 300 to paint and then sell for 3000
