My concern is that up in west yorkshire, it may be quite hard to find places that do discounts.

I'm even 20 miles from the nearest toyota garage, halfway between leeds and manchester

benifits

ever increasing discounts at TOYOTA dealerships

discounts with some major tuning companys within GB and the USA

were working on a club insurance scheme, that will also cover for track days and modifications ...........with minimal loadings ....if any

the membership fee......benifits the club, as it helps pay for the hosting cost, the stationary that is purchased to contact Discount providers and dealers

the dealers by the way are offering discounts on.........labour, parts and servicing, so im sure you will easily cover the cost of membership. within the first year.

and you get a snazzy card to prove your a gold member.

still got any questions..if you have then ask

hi...

signed up this week, just waitin for new cheque book to be sent from bank. The concern i have however is that non of my local dealers wolverhampton, birmingham, stourbridge say they give a discount to this club, and after a email converstaion with someone at fensport they also say they dont offer a discount. Could you confirm in a PM, email or summat whether they should be giving a discount or not?

also how long does the card take to be sent? i am planning on sending the cheq teusday next week. reason i ask is want to order some stuff asap :D

surinder...

ps. whats differant in the gold members forum? compared to this one..

I've joined and I'm mighty glad that I did. I was up for spending lots of my hard eared money on my AE111 so I joined up and saved wads of cash. Lets just say that I have saved more than 5 times  the enrolement fee and that was in one transaction with one company.

If you are looking to mod you Toyota or just want to get it serviced THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT. :P :P

Join up - save money :yes::yes:

I just love these new smilies  :o ;) :P :D

Andrew's reluctant to join for several reasons, such as:-

He maintains and services his own car and gets most parts etc from either Japan as the car is an import or people his comapny uses to make parts.

He is on a motor traders insurance policy so wouldn't benefit from insurance discounts.

He already gets discounts from people like Demon Tweeks, because of the company he works for.

Unfortunatly, Andrew is not the sort of person who wants to pay for something that he gets little for. So if you've another reason why he should join other than the fact he comes to club events and uses the forum (points that I've tried to point out to him but failed to get a reaction) please squeak.

Hi Mat,

1. Broke right now. Brake Pads, discs and tyres saw to that last week. :crybaby:

2. How does the dealer discount work?

Does an individual dealer use their discression in allowing discounts?

3. What about possible Toyota insurance deals?

In my experience Toyota Insurance is much more expensive then other companies. :ffs:

4. And, in the future would there be any remote possibility of receiving discounts when purchasing NEW Toyotas. Tough one, I know - but just a small thought.

Gordy.

I would join but

My cars are too old for it to be worthwhile going to a toyota dealership for parts

I have a motor traders policy cuz most insurance companys wouldn't touch my Ke55 cuz its a modified import and it worked out cheaper than insuring both cars in their own right (also i can indulge in my perchant for silly jap cars and not worry about insurance)

i'm skint right now cuz i broke my foot so i'm not working and i'm self employed.

Once i'm working again i will seriously consider it though

I find the places with discounts are dearer in the first place either to be honest. I can normally beat a discount price. Everyone wants to haggle at the end of the day.

I've joined a couple other car clubs so it isn't the joining fee I begrudge itself. It all adds up that's all.

When a few other memberships lapse I will join.

we have done all the work to get discount. We do not ask for 10%.. we ask to the highest amount of discount they can possibly offer.

Also one dealership offererd 20% off... try and haggle that.

also to note i am looking into dealerships excess stocks on list.. everything updated as it comes in.

yesterday i was offered 18 sports Exhausts for an MR2 Roadster and to me had a £100 discount.

No doubt where you get your discounts are good. But my goal is to have a very large list of all the specialist suppliers at your fingertips and not having to haggle silly discounts.

you have to remember that the bigger we are the more punch we have with dealers and discount providers. Thus more discounts and advantages everyone will have.

Compared to LOC it will be the same... in fact probably more discounts will be available when we are finished that LOC have put together in 1 year.

We are also have plans for non auto related discounts too... as some have already seen we have some goodies available.

Other advantages will be

Gold forums for private discussions and debates

Gold Card (credit card style)

Club merchandise

group buys

much larger PM inbox

parts lists that are up to 40% off

tons more as we go along.

coming soon will be the car insurance deals which include track cover.

bags of stuff/... keeps me on me toes!
