I Want A Starlet!

Hi there...

I'm new to this forum.. my b/friend found the link for me..

I'm looking at buying a Starlet, preferably in white and the newer model rather than the old old style..

Now being a girl, I don't know much about these cars but my boyfriend and few of his friends from the GTiR forum think they're great and are looking out for me too..

They know what they're talking about.. most of them into their Jap cars, my man currently owns a 2.0l pulsar which is lovely to drive!

Anyway, I've checked insurance out on one of these and I'm looking at around £800 fully comp (that's with 3 yrs no claims and I'm 20 - 21 in May)

I would be really grateful if anyone could recommend any decent import dealers.. or if anyone knows of one of these for sale!!!

Hi and welcome to the club, what sort of starlet are you looking for? Import dealers can get you turbo ones normally, or are you looking for non turbos? If you give us a clue in what you are looking for then we will try help.

you can find the non turbo ones quite easily on autotrader, if your looking for a turbo starlet (glanza) there are quite a few owners on here that'd be able to give you some advice, good importers etc...

I have found one.. but it's in bl00dy Devon! A nice 4 and a half hour trek for me and whoever I drag along!

Sounds a nice enough motor, but you never know really do you? Sounds too good to be true with such a cheap price tag.. but won't hurt to have a look..

my bro found a 96 glanza v in black for 3k the other day somewhere at an import garage in west lancisher i think but ill ask him when i eventually can get hold of him.

what pulsar has your boyfriend got as my 2 best mates have pulsars one whos is an absolute animal has driven my glanza and says mine is more fun and actually feels faster cause of the weight difference even though unfortunatly its not

If you are looking for a newer shape starlet? What shape are you looking for, because if it's a 93 starlet it will be the older shape on, newer shape start from 96 i think.

I am ideally looking for the '96 shape onwards.. but am gonna take a look at the '93 one anyway..

I can't tell you much about his I'm afraid.. apart from it's white, is standard, with a 2litre engine! (told you, typical girl.. only just starting to learn more about cars!! *rolls eyes*) It's lovely thou.. really like driving it.

Which is why I really wanna get a nice lil starlet, to get me started off in the Jap turbo world...!

Jim there is a black 96 glanza S at keighly trade center NON turbo though.

Try Cassius (powimport) on www.toyotaownersclub.com for a Glanza he's usually pretty good at finding them they do come up for sale every now and again depends on how long you can wait for one.

ah right thats the 1 i had seen didnt realise it was a non turbo thought it was a little cheeper than average cheers for pointing that out mate
