Safe Boost For A Mk1 Turbo?

Hi,

Prob been asked a zillion times, but :-

My 1990 turbo runs about 0.8bar in 1st and 2nd and goes up to around 1.1 or 1.2 in 3rd, 4th and 5th

This ok - or too high???

You should be fine up to 15psi (1 bar). 1.1 or 1.2 is pushing the limits a bit.

Saying that tho, mine is hitting 1.1 bar and it's fine, and I know JimMR2's is hitting 1.2, and has been for ages.
