you supra nuts have been great help so far!, but i have yet another question from this 1st time supra buyer.... UK or jap, I always wanted to get a uk spec but cant find exactly what i want (i.e manual, low miles, & blk), can only find auto (best found so far has been @ 60k, with ftsh, but for £10,000!!!!!!!!!!! :o ), i have a contact who can get me a imac. TT import for round £7000 with low, low miles manual, blk.apparantly jap only runs 280 bhp rather than the uk's 326, what will the speed diff. be from uk auto to jap manual?

your thoughts pls.

??Settle for auto - UK spec

??or Jap manual, right colour, right miles, But dont think u get serv. hist on imports

Hi.

the UK Spec have much better spec.

People on here are adament that the Auto's are just as good and some say even better than the Manuals.

I really dont mean to sound anti-import but the UK Spec has so much over the imports.

Really the only proper reasons for getting an import is for the low mileage and availability.

I say go UK Spec unless you are over 25 (hence insurance is the same) and dont like leather

if u do go down the j-spec route, it wont cost u alot to get the import running at the same bph as a uk. i love my uk, but if u dont have the avalible money for a uk.......go jap. but remember that the insurance is a LOT LOT higher.

dont worry to much about the mileage......my uk has done 140k and runs sweet as a nut.

good hunting.

the main reason for me looking into imports other than the price diff. is i can then get a manual rather than having to have a auto uk, i have a contact who can get me a immac blk jap spec, manual, with below 50k on clock for about £7000. but he said ihave no come back on the car & prob no s/h cos i will buying direct from japan (how risky is buying direct from jap.)

the best uk found so far is going for aroung 9.5k.

And the other problem, yes i am below 25, an my ins. for the jap spec works out £800!!!!!! hundred more than uk

so its auto uk for 9500 (fsh, higher miles ie 70k)

or manual jap 7000 (low miles, prob. no s/h) :help::blink:
