Enables you to get a something snazzy done without taking the car off the road.

I supplied one of these to Boro Sera, who polished his to a gleaming gleamy thing.

I supplied another to DazH to had his power coated black

Both have pictures of their mod in the Garage, search for user name or look under SERA or PASEO

£ 25 plus postage.

Once you've polished / painted / powdercoated it, you just swap them over, and you can sell on the original to allow someone else to do it.

Polishing can be done indoors. Powder coating is quite cheap to do as well, but this a week or so to get done.

count me in...just need to put money in the bank tomorrow..

how do you go about polishing / powder coating / painting? also, how do you go about taking off the valve cover...is it just as easy as undoing those few bolts on top?

Polishing/coating/painting..........

Depends on what you want it to look like.

Polishing is just some metal polish, wet and dry and an awful lot of elbow grease !

Painting is just a case of degreasing it and then painting it ( special Engine paint )

Powder coating ........ take it to a powder coating company.

I think polished looks the best, but it's up to you really.

When you get the cover and decide what you want to do to it, ask again and we'll go into more detail on the techniques needed.

The cover just unbolts.....5 Stainless nuts on the top.

They look exactly the same as the GT Turbo cam covers.

If i'm right can i get one, and how?

4e-fte is slightly different. Different breather location due to intercooler and smaller diameter as well.

will the cam cover fit straight onto the 5efe?

Posted

yeah.....straight swap.

Just fit the red pcv valve from the old one into the new one. It's worth getting a new rubber grommet for the pcv valve, it prevents that nasty oil slick all over the back of the new shiny cover.

Grommet p/n T90480-18006........couple of quid from Toyota
