Got a phone call today from my dad that the £700 wa sin the post today from the EST people.

so it does work:)

depite having to change the name from mine too his , bacause of insurance hiccups.

I'm well impressed.

on a different note we also bought a car ourselves to replace the wifes which was written off in december.

got two different dealers that got a car were interested in, conteacted them, yes we got car, b4 we have time (weekend) car is sold, only to be unsold after the weekend. :

Out of curiosity.......how many Prius owners here actually got the EST Grant??

I seem to remember it being a bit of a 'sore point' !

ordered the car in june (with est granted) delivered in september, paid this week.

it works. you just have to do it in the right order.

i believe in the past the dealers had to apply and that casued a lot of trouble. braindead can confirm this (or not).

We got our grant, no problems, after we got the dealer to jiggle the dates on the order form for us.
