Hiace Super Custom Wagon 2.4td

What engine oil is recommended for 2.4 TD Hiace (2LTE). Rocker cover says 10W 30 CD spec., everyone else says use 10W 40 is this ok. Engine done 80K miles and runs like a clock?

Have you had the fuel pump timing checked?? If I remember right the pump has to be adjusted to send fuel to the injectors at just the right time (much like a distributor has to be set to send a spark to a spark plug at the correct time).

If the pump timing is off then the fuel wont be burnt efficiently.

You say you only get heat from the heater while you are moving. Are you using the heater blower fan? There is a through flow of air as the vehicle is moving obviuosly caused by the vehicle speed in relation to the surrounding air which at standstill you wont get(unless its very windy outside)
