yer im pretty sure they have,have alook on fensports websote as it tells you the cars stats on each of the cars parts section,from what i can remember the AE111 corolla has the 1.3 16v

According to the Haynes manual for Corollas of that type the engine in the 1300 is designated 2E. I reckon Dawsey is the man for a definative answer.

Definately not the 4EFE in the Starlets!

Could probably pace a Starlet though, great cars! My brother used to have one before he put it into a wall :(

Definitely not 4efe, I've got the haynes manual and it says its for the next shape along. ie the one in corolla kids signature

Toyota has a habit of changing engines in the life of a model The 1.6 AE111 prefacelift had the 4a-fe and the facelift had different engine with vvti (someone here will know the engine code). So it's possible that they changed engines at sometime in the lifetime of this particular model as well.
