I got the car for a price of a bottle of whisky as it was a non runner. But soon found out the dissy cap was on upside down. The timeing was out. And the condenser had a bad earth. after a complete service. I turned the key and she fired up. I was amazed at how smooth it drove. Well it was time for the dreaded mot. Ahhh she failed on shocks front. I thought not bad. Wont be much. Ahhhhhhh shock 118 pounds each. I tried desperatly to source some. from abreakers .but to no ebvail, (I rang round and found some for 80 pounds each. So I have ordered them. And wil attemopt to fir them tomoz. lol all in all i got agreat a car with 12 months mot for little over 200 quid. So its not that bad. Just that is it syuch a rare car in the uk. And why as its a cracker of a car. Also what alloy wheels fit. And is anybody selling any. What iss the larges you acn fit. Please help.!

Hi,

Welcome to TOC.

There are plenty of aftermarket products around for the Starlet without having to resort to breakers yards ! There are lots of Starlet owners in this group who could advise you better than me though.

They are great cars though, sounds like you got the bargain of the year too.
