ive just had my 1996 Glanza V MOT done today it flew through no probs but failed on what i thought was im possible for an import emitions

iv got folowin engine mods

hks filter

fuel pressure reg

de cat

2.5 inch straight through exhaust

it failed hittin 0.60 on the co2 and its got the be 0.3 and also lamda was 1.10 and its gotta fall between 0.97 and 1.03

anyone else failed by havin there cat removed or know how to get the levels down

both should pass if you reinstall the cat. :thumbsup:

or reset the ecu just before you have the next mot may help.

but it is law that a cat has to be fitted after 1994 so the car should never of been tested at all.

put ur cat bk on til its moted then slap it bk off :D i am keepin my cat for mots ;)

as if we both posted that at the same time near enough but yeah wiv a de cat ur goin fail no matter wat me thinks :)

1 prob there the reason it was de catted was cause it melted to old cat i aint got 1 to put back on big bill for new one i bet

for glanza yeah problely most standard parts r dear as :censor: these dayz.... u can get a cat made up tho just a cheap 1 anywhere they do custom exhausts for about 30 or 40 quid.... so depends if theres any custom exhaust places near u.... just ask em use the cheapest **** n get 1 made for bout 20 quid i bet

stoke on trent ;) , u from staffordshire then?, if so theres place called silver systems in leek n he dus a crackin job will make u a cat for a really gud price... so if u interested tel us n ill get u the number ;)

Sorry to correct you mate, NO CAR NEEDS A CAT TO PASS AN MOT, the cat is only needed to pass the emissions test....

This was told to me by a guy at VOSA!
