thanks for answering in spanish, but.....i have the 4A-FE engine, and the F means economy, and i think that i the F can be replaced with a G if i change something, but the question is what...

apart of that...someone says to me:

"A good start would be to free up intake and exhaust flow by adding and intake, header, and a 2.5" exhaust system to a free-flowing muffler."

what do you think of that?

thanks

The 'F' and 'G' designations relate to the cylinder head. The G type is the more sporty. It's likely to have different manifolds, fuel injecton and probably more.

Isn't the 4A-FE a 1600 cc engine? Most parts of the world never got the celica with that engine. You would get more info on tuning this engine from one of the other forums, where it is a more common engine (Corolla, maybe?).

I think the 4A-FE is about 100 hp, which is pretty pathetic for a car weighing 1200kg, which a '92 Celica would be. The most cost effective upgrade would be to swap the engine and gearbox for the 3S-GE engine, if that's an option for you.

ok thank you very much for youre answers, i would like to know exactly what is the difference between the 4A-FE 16 valves engine and the 4A-GE 16 valves engine, i know the camshaft are diferent, but what else, becaouse i want know which parts i need to buy and if it is just a simple swap. AND, i forget to say, my car is 166cc (1587cc).

its $400 a good price for the camshaft?

and im sure it is the 4A-FE engine.

thanks you very much.

4A-GE and the 4A-FE BOTH PRODUCE AROUND 115 PS

these engine are taken from the corolla and were never meant for the celica
