Ive done everything it said in the instructions, set it to its lowest ie very loose and went out for a test boosted to 0.5 my standard boost is 0.7, so i stopped the car and tweaked the boost controller inwards tightened it in... went out again still 0.5, kept tightning it in at every run still 0.5!. I ended up where i couldnt tighten the bolt in any further by hand , and it was still 0.5BAR.

This is really winding me up, why isnt it working... Do i have to use some sort of screwdriver or something for the boost controller? and the rest cant be turned by hand.

this is what i got

and it DID NOT take 5 !Removed! mins

try blowing through it

when its fully open you should just be able to blow hard enough for it to come out the other end

then tighten and you should have no chance of blowing through it

also makes sure you have it the right way in :P

Ok dad just blew into the granger valve and air was coming through the hole in the top , even at the tightest!!!. So he took the spring out and the ball and placed back in , tried again.. and no air was coming out the top.

So at first glance NOW the granger ball was seated properly

SO FAR SO GOOD, lets hope this works

thankyou jaxx

Thanks to Jaxx's suggestion its working perfectly and i got it set to 0.8BAR as it was dark i didnt go any higher, what im going to do tomorrow is set it to 1BAR and note any fuel cut or problems and give it a better run DAMN WET ROADS!.

Anyway i noted Massive increase in performance, louder tone to the exhaust

and more BANGS from the exhaust i even scared about 20 chavs on a side road.

Today 0.8 Tomorrow 1bar

AND AND AND Tuesday comes 3" downpipe, decat :lol:

what is the safe limit for one of these

things , also is it possible to guess the bar without an after market gauge???

no

a good quality boost gauge is a must when fiddling with the actuator

i believe 1bar (14psi) is the safe point on a standard engine before you start encountering problems like detonation

and it makes a whopping difference!

if you think your motors quick then try this! plus you can always knock it back down to stock when you like

what FCD have you got?

Most are set to 1.2bar which is really the limit before you need water injection, injectors and management etc etc.

FCD from two's r us , the little box with three wires coming out!

Ill set the boost to 1bar tomorrow, this is the max right for my car safe wise?
