Mr2 Setbacks

i am about to buy an MR 2 90-96 model standard and I want to know what are some of the setbacks or quirks MR. 2's tend to have...please reply!! :blink:

Not many to be honest :)

The SW20 is a superb car that's built like rocking horse droppings, some of the imports have been pushed hard but if you've been careful and bought a good one you should have no grief....

Little things to check :

Rear Strut Brace (behind passenger compartment on either side) cango on early models.

If T-Bar check for leaks

Apart from that do your normal new car checks and you should be fine....

Where about's are you as through different clubs there are a number of MR2 Owners who would be more than willing to pop over and have a look at your prospective new baby.

Alternatively depending on your budget why not import one, there are a couple of highly recommended importers that aren't that expensive and you'll be guarenteed to get an excellent condition car....
