Please let me know if you have any luck finding panels.

I also have a '72 Carina TA12 4-door 1600cc which had a front end shunt in 1982 and has never been back on the road since. I think panels for it are almost impossible to find, hence somebody has completely reconstructed the inner wings and front panel out of sheet metal. I am still missing a wing and front valance.

I am actually considering cutting the complete front end ahead of the bulkhead off my '79 Carina TA40 and welding that on. The TA40 has a very nice looking nose anyway and it has virtually new wings and sound inner wings and decent front valance.

If anybody has tried and failed at this game please let me know before I hit a blunder. As far as I know, the chassis are the same, the nose is just 20mm longer on the TA40 as were the later TA1* models after '72.

If this work, I'll have 1 spare TA12 brand new wing for sale :)

Anyone got a T50 box for sale or a 2TG/3T/3TB engine?

Now I may be wrong but check the waste/body line, does it run parallel from the door to the wing?

Sorry guys but Toyota Enthusiasts no longer carry any spares.

do not try to put front end from 40 onto the 12. The wings have different profiles to the doors etc etc . It will look like a right abortion. Put Carina TA 12 into your search engine and contact a club / group abroad. You can still get lots of stuff if you are prepared to be patient and pay for it.
