Should be standard if the aolloys use standard size nut's....

Some of the Jap spec alloys use different nut fittings to connect the whell but if you got those I wouldn't really worry about them getting nicked :)

Just read this again on Trevor Mensah's FAQ, just worries me thats all :o

Q6. How much do the new style 1998 Model 5-Spoke Aluminium Alloy wheels on the latest MR2 cost from a Toyota dealer?

A6. Erm... your not going to believe this but the (15x7) rear alloys without tyres cost £311.13 + VAT (each) and the front alloys (15x6) cost £264.84 + VAT (each). So for a set of four alloy wheels your looking at around £1353.53 inclusive of VAT. A 1998 spec MR2 owner better invest in a good set of locking wheel nuts then eh!

Someone's paranoid about the new toy :)

I guess it depends on the area you live in, mines in a nice safe area so not to bothered (plus my bolts are not the standard size which helps....

Mind you for that price wouldn't you be better getting some aftermarket alloys :)

Aye course im paranoid, am getting a cotton wool suit ready for when I go to pick it up :D

I live in a nice enough area, but I frequent not so nice areas from time to time, I guess I will check the bolts when I get it, although to be perfectly honest I have no idea to tell them apart from "normal" ones :)

And I dont want aftermarket alloys, its remaining standard :) (except for maybe a clear side repeater, and stereo upgrade at a later date)

Did I mention a Mongoose exhaust and induction kit make the most amazing sound, make the car a lot more repsonsive and a lot more fun to drive....

Not that expensive either :)

I got locking nuts for my '92 G-Ltd from the local A1, standard MR2 fitment, they were about £20 - as you say - it's an expensive price to pay if someone takes your alloys.

Whats the "local A1" a shop or something? I was told Halfords sell locking nuts, but have looked on their website to no avail :(

Could do with some pronto really or my wheels could vanish :bye:

Should be standard. Halfords don't list everything on their site, call them instead,

Nice one, I will probably drop by and buy a set :)
