Car Jolts For Split Second -help !

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Am really hoping some can help me - have a worrying issue :(

MR2 Turbo, Revision 1, 1.1 bar boost....

Recent days - and not often, when under load - car will jolt for a split second, almost feels like lost all electrics, however stereo, lights, fuel computer(ie ecu) all stay on - so not a loose negative on Battery etc....

Any ideas - am worried this jolt will kick in and not come back...

Will be checking the fault codes tomorrow.

thanks for any help - driving me crazy now.

Cheers

1.1 bar you say.

Sounds like fuel Cut to me.

set the turbo at a lower psi/bar and see if it still does it then

Hi,

I have a fuel cut defenser in - been in for years. think the original fuel cut was supposed to be less than 1.0bar - so not that.

Any other ideas?? Was thinking maybe loose relay to fuel pump or something?

Arrgh!

Hi,

Just bought a dizzy and arm from Fensport - leads are good and plugs only changed few weeks ago....

Will try the ECU reset.

Also have another thread in which I have the ornage engine light on - need to check diag - maybe related?? Who knows.

I had an orange light long time ago, found out my intercooler fan wasnt coming on

so i disconnected the engine heat sensor, the cable attached to the engine grill and had the fan come on all the time.
