Replacing Abs Speed Sensor

i replaced the rear suspension on my 98 Avalon XL (3.0L V6), and after everything was bolted up, i got a ABS light on my dash gauge. i got a code 39 (left rear speed sensor). i reset the ABS light, but it came right back on. i took off the left rear tire and inspected the wiring and such, but everything seemed to be ok.

do i need to replace the left rear speed sensor? where is the connector for the sensor? will this be pretty straightforward?

thanks

first check the sensor is clean if its visible and not inside the hub, then check the wiring , 2 wires but thin and can snap or corrode , the multi plug connector should be inside the inner wing liner if fitted or inside the boot or trunk , i'd certainly check the wiring before anything else as for changing it ,if its inside the rear hub and not on a bracket , i dont think you will have much success doing it yourself as they usually need drilling out.
