How Much Oil In A Rev3 Tubby?

Hi folks,

I got the car serviced yeserday but due to my downpipe the dip stick doesnt work any more reliably. How much oil should the tubby take when changing the filter? I asked the Toyota peeps to put 4 litres in as I wasnt sure and didnt want to go over.

Was this right and was the 5w30 grade stuff they used ok for the engine as they didnt have any 10w30?

Many thanks,

Rikki

3.6 litres without the filter and 3.9 with.

4.5 litres if you want a nice pool of Mobil 1 under your car and all over the top of the motor.

Fantastic. I can see it now.

*Fizz eating kebab, with no dirt on his hands

"Hey mate, ain't you supposed to have put the sump plug back in before filling it up with oil"

"Yeah... we'll just use about 4.5 litres instead"

:D ;)
