looking good so far. couple of questions:

are you having a veilside front, how easy were the sides to fit and where did you get the kit from?

not getting the front bumper, i have the bomex one on the standard one, i am having the slats took out as well as the foglights and having black mesh in its place (sounds chavish but will look good) the side skirts had to be modded to fit but this seems to be the case with most replica skirts.

the kit was made by a guy in blackburn who makes bodypannel parts for lotus carltons (he is contracted by lotus) very skilled guy but can be slow, i cam pm you his number if you like

few updates already :)

spoiler bonded to the boot (dont worry there is a top half to go on there)

100_0106.jpg

more blending of the sideskirts and bumper ( this is how to blend a bodykit so it wont crack after 6 months)

100_0128.jpg

100_0127.jpg

100_0116.jpg

trial fit the doors back to the car to ensure that all lines and gaps are correct after a few adjustments.... (the door bottoms have been trimmed and welded to allow sufficient clearence for the door to open and not catch on the sideskirt tops)

100_0126.jpg

100_0123.jpg

notice the quality blending of the front bumper to the body of the car :)

Only a couple more days of smoothing and the complete job will be going into the paint booth for the next stages of primer....

yeah if you pm me the details of the kit guy, that would be great. first set of sides i've seen that fit real nice.

that is gonna look very nice when it's finished. are you gonna cut some vents in the bonnet.... just to make it look different?

yeah the sideskirts were abit tight butcertainly alot better than otheres i have seen.

i have a contact for border carbon hoods so i may get one of those and have a red pearl sprayed on top so you still see the carbon weave

sending you a pm now shaf :)

looking very good mate.. can't wait to see the finished car.

Question though.. what happens if you ever need to remove the front or rear bumper ?

simple answer you dont! lol

if the rad goes it will be a v difficult job to remove/fix but it can be done.

i had a mate fit the same intercooler as this as well as an oversized rad behind it with out taking the front bumper off as it was blended.

this is mine and i struggled to fit mine with the bumper off!

That place in Blackburn is the same place my mate bought a set of Veilside skirts from.

They were no way going to fit.

He took them back and swapped them.

They were no way going to fit either.

The place wouldnt swap them again.

He still has them 1 1/2 years later unfitted.
