4age Lambda Sensor

ive recently noticed my corolla gti (MAP) 4age running sluggish and found the culprit to be the o2 sensor (or lack of) as it had been snapped from the bracket, i've read about abit in a few forums and believe them to be single wire? im only asking as they're seems to been no other obvious o2 connections coming from the engine bay whatsoever so im left with an o2 sensor and nothing to plug it into, i cannot find a decent picture for a refrence or make head nor tail of an ecu wiring diagram? where does this o2 sensor plug into?

look here http://www.ntklambdasensors.co.uk/main/mindex.htm i'm sure its 4 wires and a new sensor is £ 61-00 , it should have a multi plug to multi plug connection , if its just alot of wires both ends then maybe its been changed before.because most universal sensors you dont get o/e connections on them , just the wires.

i think you may be right male about the wires, sh**ty luck not having anything as a refrence i.e old sensor - not even the multiplugs to the ecu? where they've gone ive no idea, ive checked about the engine all day today and theres definately no multiplugs or even wires? one bit of good news is that ive found a chap not far from me with a write off gti and im picking an oem one up tomorrow morn, plus i can check his wires and have the multi plugs away aswell :-b, any info as to the location of the missing multi plugs and how trace them from the sensor - back, still appreciated though.

well, been to see chappy with the other gti and he does'nt even have a space in the manifold for a sensor but his is a 1990 without cat, yet has the same ecu wiring as mine, im begining to think my manifold is off a later model? anyways ive just been and bought 2 new downpipe gaskets and when bolting it all back up agian the bottom bolt snapped and left half the thread still in the manifold, i doubt even mole grips would twist it out plus i've got to wait till next wednesday for a new head to manifold gasket - oh the joys!

lol - ive only had the car 2 weeks.
