Looks Like Some Gypo Has Had A Go At My Car!

gave the car a wash on saturday and notcied that water had somehow blasted to the inside of the car from the hose.

now the t-bars, normally leave a drop or two but dont soak the side of the seat

so a bit of a closer inspection and i noticed a 3mm gap all the way dwon the side of the window glass to the rubber

and on the door edge/quater panel, small dents and a nick of paint missing

looks like some theiving monkey has tried to prize the door open and now sprained the metal :ffs:

so the window now doesnt seal up correct :(

ive tried adjusting the door catch but to no avail, is there anyway to adjust the window as when it hits the top it pushes itself out on the bottom and thus leaves the gap

looks like im gonna be sleeping on the front garden aswell :!Removed!:

Rob

The glass can be adjusted in or out by 2 adjusters under the top of the door card.

Dont know if you'v tried this or wether it will help.

Its simple. the adjusters push the glass out at the bottom thus making the top come in and vise versa.

Sorry to hear about that mate..seems like this is mr2 thieving season.

Its quite easy to adjust the window dont worry, I fitted my replacement passenger window week before and wasnt as hard as I expected! As Russ said, theres two adjusters at the top of the door and they are in plain view once you get the interior trim off. Theyre in the shape off a big hook if i remember correctly and you just undo the 10mm nuts a little bit and move them up and down to adjust the windows

ok ive had a fiddle with the window mechanism (and emptied half a can of GT85 on the squeeky runners)

seems to have improved a bit but not 100%

the ones on the door ledge didnt achecive nothing... but a look on the workshop manual shows theres half a dozen combinations you can perform on many bolts to move it in all directions

so far so good, ill see if it leaks!
