A friend wants to buy white Enkeis for her car, but she is unsure which offset to use? the Enkeis come in 35, 41 and 45. Which would be the best offset to go for? She also wants to lower her car, but how low can she go without any arch modification and with no rubbing or scraping?

I think the offset is 38-42 for the yaris,

I have 35 offset on mine and their fine, you should be able to lower 40mm on 15" and 16" without any archwork, more if you have lower profile tyres
