They wont resprey KITT :ffs: Their assessor said it would cost £4000 to respray her Do they get there paint from bleedn ............ Harrods?????

He said the car is only worth £1500. (priceless to me) :group-cuddles:

So I contacted More Than (my insurance comp) and put to them that if I could find someone to respray her for less than £2000 would they pay.

Yes they would do that. But an engineer would have to come out and visit the establishment first. No problem. RESULT.

So first thing in the morning I am of to get some decent realistic quotes.

Hope you get it sorted Asha , damn insurance suck... they are not slow at taking your money but as soon as you might need a payout they try every trick in the book to try and refuse your claim, £4000 yeah i bet the assessor has a side line job were he resprays the cars himself at his own garage, you can sort it lass

Wooooo Hooooooo me is a very happy girl :D

RESULT :D

KITT is being resprayed next week and all body work is being sorted ( a couple of bits of rust that need attention and a crack in the back bumper ) also I am having my Summer wheels painted black and will be have new tyres on all round, 205s this time and not 195s <_<

But my dilemma is..... shall I stick with my original paint (black with a gold fleck) or

go shiny glossy sexy black?????

Help me decide, your opinions, thoughts and advice are very much in need. :group-cuddles:

Personally i`d go for the high gloss black. It`ll be easier to match if you ever have to have it touched in.

sorry to hear about kitt, been on the recieving end myself with my previous car had the mirrors kicked off a couple of times. I got a garage and that cured the problem. The police should be out arresting these people instead of hanging around on motorway bridges playing with lazor radar guns.

anyway look on the bright side nice new shine paint to look forwad to. I would go for the gloss black just like the real kitt

P.S.

why do you have different wheels for winter and summer is it just purley for looks or is there a specific reason

Both really ....for looks and convinience, my Summer wheels are for shows and during the winter they will get re-furbished and my Winter wheels are for just for getting covered in every thing that the winter weather can throw at them.

Well KITT's just been taken away to get resprayed :) She wont be back for two weeks :( The good thing is that she is being done localy (Royton) so I can pop down and pester them during the week. :D and keep an eye on their progress.

She will be black and shiny when she comes home. :group-cuddles:
